Our Ministries!

Church Planting

Church plant in Rushikonda: Rushikonda is a  town on the sea coast. It is located 10 miles from Visakhapatnam city. The town is known for its fishing trade, tourism, film studio, and the famous Gitam University. The church was started in 1994 with four families from the fishermen community. By the year 2000,  many families from the fisherman community came to know the Lord and were saved. Lord has miraculously converted many drunkards, adulterers, cruel people, and wild idol worshipers. A church building that can accommodate 300 people was built. Now, about 35 families from the fishermen community, employees from the University, and the Film Studio gather for Sunday Morning Worship Service. Brother Ravi Kumar Gandi has been shepherding the church faithfully.

Evangelism

We plan out-reach programs during holidays to personally meet people and evangelize; we also distribute gospel tracts (Mokshaniki Margam; Nemmadhi pondhudi) and conduct gospel meetings.

Conventional Meetings

Two conventional meetings are conducted every year in the months of March and September. Guest preachers are invited to preach the word for the church.

Free Medical Camps

Bethel Assembly doctors conduct Free Medical Camps in nearby villages. Apart from treatment, the doctors give counseling for women and awareness on prevention of various communicable diseases. The camp ends with a gospel meeting.

Ministry for Men

Men has God-given responsibility to be pastors for their families and lead them in godliness. So, our goal is to help men to love Jesus more, grow in the knowledge of the Word, and help them grow to be like Jesus. “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

Ministry for Women

The Bible teaches that women has special responsibility in the church. Paul writes, “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.” Titus 2:3-5.

Young Adults

We want young adults to be born again at a very young age and be Christ’s image bearers in this sinful world. Younger Generation should be indoctrinated with God’s truth.  “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.” Ps 119:9. We believe that God’s Word has the power to transform the lives of young-adults to love Jesus Christ, and to live holy and blameless for His glory.

Children

Our goal is to help parents with their God-given responsibility to train up their children to know God and fear Him. Sunday School teachers work diligently to teach children about God and what He requires of us, as revealed in His Word, through weekly Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. We pray that God would use the teaching and regenerate the children.
